James Van Salee has been a ballet, tap, jazz, and hip-hop dancer her entire 42 years of life and has been teaching Pilates, Yoga and BARRE for a total of 18 years. Her focus as an instructor is education for empowerment and full-body awareness, care and alignment.
James is also a professional photographer, choreographer and a mother to three sons. She is excited to be a new resident of Las Vegas and is looking forward to teaching at the Zen Den LV.

What is barre?
Barre is a ballet inspired workout that also includes elements from Pilates. Focusing on strength training the core while practicing graceful extensions, ballet posture and proper body alignment.
This class is perfect for the beginner as well as the experienced dancer. BARRE is a full body strength training, balance and flexibility class that will quickly increase your strength, stamina and flexibility. We utilize multiple repetitions with light weights as well as our own body weight resistance to build muscle.
You are sure to walk away from each class feeling lengthened, strengthened and more graceful than when you came in.
What to wear & bring to class
Wear comfortable, form fitting leggings or shorts and a comfortable form fitting top so that you can be visually aware of proper form and posture.
Please bring a yoga mat and water bottle.
